Question 1031209: Solve a system of equations by elimination.
x+6y=30
-x+6y=18
can you provide me with this answers.
Answer by LinnW(1048) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x+6y=30
-x+6y=18
add the two equations
12y = 48
divide each side by 12
y = 4
substitute 4 for y in x+6y=30
x+6(4)=30
x + 24 = 30
add -24 to each side
x = 6
