Question 1003482: Adam had $17.10 with higher brought three apple of 1.50 each two mangoes of $1.35 each and the rest he spent on nine guava find the Coston 2 apple and 1 guava?
Answer by addingup(3677) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
3 * 1.50 + 2 * 1.35 = 7.20 is what he spent on apples and mangoes. After spending that money, he has:
17.10 - 7.20 = $9.90 He bought 9 guavas:
9.90/9 = $1.10 per guava.
2apples at 1.50 each: 2*1.50 = (multiply)
1 guava at 1.10 equals $1.10 Add to the product above and you have your answer.

NOTE: The product is the result of multiplication. The result of division is called the quotient.
