Question 1002613: What is the slope-intercept form of the equations of the lines through the given points with the given slopes?
through (4, 2) slope: = -3/4
through (-2, -5) slope = 5/2

Hi there,
A) through (4, 2) slope: = -3/4
B) through (-2, -5) slope = 5/2
...........
A) y - b = m(x - a)
y - 2 = -3/4(x - 4)
y - 2 = -3/4x + 3
y = -3/4x + 3 + 2
y = -3/4x + 5
..........
B) y - b = m(x - a)
y - (-5)) = 5/2(x - (-2))
y + 5 = 5/2(x + 2)
y + 5 = 5/2x + 5
y = 5/2x + 5 - 5
y = 5/2x
...........
Hope this helps :-)
