Question 343368: A teacher will select 5 questions from 12 available questions. How many different arrangements are possible for the 5 selected questions?
I got: (5)(4)(3)(2)(1)= 120 Am I even using the correct formula? Answer by nyc_function(2741) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Given the 5 questions selected there are 5! = 120 arrangements.
But I think your question is how many 5-question sets can be made from the 12 questions. The answer to that is 12C5 = 12! / (5!)(7!) = 792
